We undertook the full restoration of a 200-year-old bell tower at New Hall School, which had suffered significant deterioration due to weather exposure and severe timber rot. Our goal was to preserve this historic structure while ensuring its stability for years to come.
Scope of Works
- Structural Repairs: Specialist repairs to the timber frame to restore strength and integrity.
- Leadwork & Finishing: Installed new leadwork and completed full decorative restoration.
- Precision Lifting & Installation: Fabricated a steel frame to safely remove the bell tower using a crane, allowing for essential repairs before carefully repositioning it once approved by the client.

This complex restoration brought the bell tower back to its former glory, reinforcing its structure while maintaining its historical character. The careful planning and execution ensured a seamless process, and the result was met with high praise from the client.
