Our portfolio: showcasing our work and impact
We successfully completed a two-year refurbishment project at Balmoral Towers in Southend, in collaboration with South Essex Homes. This extensive project, running from December 2021 to September 2023, involved fully renovating 54 flats (27 one-bedroom and 27 two-bedroom) across Grampian, Blackdown, and Brecon tower blocks.
Scope of Work
- Structural & Safety Upgrades: Structural repairs to internal walls following a remedial report, fire stopping IWI system on external walls and risers, and upgrading fire doors throughout.
- Interior Refurbishment: Full strip-out, new kitchens and bathrooms, electrical rewiring, installation of electric radiators/heaters, redecoration, and plastering.
- Fire Safety Compliance: Fire stopping works carried out in-house by our BM Trada-accredited team, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Building Control Liaison: Worked closely with Building Control to implement new external wall systems and remodel flats to meet Decent Homes standards.
Community Engagement
We actively contributed to the local community through initiatives such as:
- Tree planting
- Christmas and Easter events
- Regular food bank donations
- Balmoral art project
- Summer parties and fun days
